Syria Says Peace Deal With Israel Was Paused by Iran War

Syria's top diplomat says Syria and Israel had almost finished writing a deal for Israel to stop attacking Syria and leave land it took after Syria's government fell in 2024. Talks paused when the US and Israel began fighting Iran. The US is pushing Israel back to the table, and Syria expects talks to restart soon.
