Nineteen Migrants Found Dead in Arizona Desert in July, the Worst Month Since 2024

Officials found the remains of 19 migrants, including children, in the Arizona desert near Mexico in July — the deadliest month since 2024. That brings this year's count to 73, up 24 percent from 59 at the same time in 2025. Most died from lack of water and extreme heat. Smugglers are sending people through more dangerous, isolated paths.
