LG Display's New FLiPP Process Makes OLED Screens Without Metal Masks
LG Display has unveiled FLiPP, a new way to make OLED screens that removes the thin metal masks traditionally used to pattern pixels. LG says it is the first to produce these mask-free panels on large 8.5th-generation glass sheets as a single whole piece, using up to 64 percent more of each sheet. LG demonstrated FLiPP at IMID 2026 in Busan. No product timeline has been announced.
