LG Display's FLiPP Process Eliminates Fine Metal Masks From OLED Production
LG Display has unveiled FLiPP, a photolithography-based OLED pixel-patterning process that removes the fine metal masks used in conventional fabrication. LG says it is the first company to produce FMM-less OLED panels on 8.5th-generation mother glass as a single whole piece, achieving up to 64 percent better glass utilization. LG demonstrated FLiPP at IMID 2026 in Busan. No product timeline has been announced.
