Scottish Labour hopeful says no to independence vote — ever

Joe Fagan wants to lead Scottish Labour. He has promised never to support another vote on Scotland leaving the UK — by any route. That is firmer than his party's official stance, which simply opposes a second referendum. Fagan, the third candidate to seek the job, told BBC News the campaign for independence and the Nicola Sturgeon era are "over."
