Scottish Labour leadership hopeful Fagan rules out independence referendum permanently

Scottish Labour leadership candidate Joe Fagan has pledged never to support an independence referendum, nor agree any democratic route to one. The position goes beyond the party's official policy of opposing a second vote. BBC News reported Fagan saying calls for indyref2 and the Nicola Sturgeon era are "over." He is the third MSP to seek to replace Anas Sarwar.
