ABC Sues Government TV Regulator, Claiming Intimidation

Disney's ABC sued the FCC, the agency that licenses TV stations, after Chairman Brendan Carr ordered early license reviews for all eight ABC-owned stations, opened a probe into diversity practices, and asked the public whether "The View" counts as a real news program. ABC calls it an "unprecedented campaign" to intimidate coverage, citing First Amendment violations. Licenses normally last eight years.
