Apple's next big iPhone may fold in half, according to hidden software code

Hidden code in Apple's upcoming Mac software mentions a foldable iPhone, nicknamed "The Folding One" and also called iPhone Ultra. MacRumors reported this August 17, 2026; Engadget confirmed it August 18. It is the first time a folding iPhone has appeared in Mac software. The code shows Apple is working on it, but does not guarantee a release.
