
UK Grocery Prices Rising More Slowly, Lowest Rate Since October 2024
The pace of UK grocery price rises slowed to 2.1% in the four weeks to 9 August 2026, down from 2.6% — the lowest since October 2024. That is less than half February's 4.3% peak. The average household spent £14.24 less on groceries, at £410 total, while special offers made up a 2026-high 31.3% of supermarket sales.
