No sign after a week: search goes on for missing teen hiker near Sydney

Lily Hooper, 18, went missing on 12 August 2026 after hiking to the top of Bonnum Pic in Nattai National Park, about 90km south-west of Sydney. Rescue teams on foot and in helicopters — some using heat-detecting cameras — have found no trace of her or her gear. Her family says they are "absolutely devastated." The search continues.
