Supreme Court Again Says No to Trump in Carroll Case

On August 17, 2026, the Supreme Court again refused Trump's request to overturn the 2023 ruling that he sexually abused and defamed writer E. Jean Carroll. A rehearing petition asks the court to reconsider a case. Carroll has collected about $5.8 million. Her lawyer says the ruling is final. A separate $83.3 million award is still under appeal.
