Free WordPress Websites Now Available for Students

At WordCamp US on August 17, 2026, Automattic launched WordPress.com Education. Each student gets a personal website with a free .blog or .art web address, 6 GB of storage, plug-in support, and tools for building and managing sites — no credit card required for the first year. A trial program reached 5,000 students across 27 countries.
