Uber Eats to Deliver Food by Flying Drone

Uber teamed up with drone company Zipline on August 17, 2026, to deliver Uber Eats orders by self-flying drone, starting in Dallas-Fort Worth and expanding to dozens of U.S. cities. Uber also invested money in Zipline. The companies aim for one million drone deliveries a day by 2029 — a level no U.S. company has come close to. Zipline has completed two million deliveries in ten years.
