Liechtenstein's Throne Opens to Women

On August 15, 2026, Prince Alois said Liechtenstein will let women inherit the throne for the first time. Until now, a younger brother could jump ahead of an older sister in the line of succession. That will end. No details yet on when or how the change takes effect.
