Cambridge Professor Jason Arday Found Dead at 41

Jason Arday, Cambridge's youngest-ever black professor, was found dead at his Battersea home on 14 August 2026. He was 41. Police do not suspect foul play. He had quit the week before over unproven claims he copied others' work. His family says he faced ongoing abuse since his 2023 appointment. Mayor Sadiq Khan called him a victim of "pernicious public shaming."
