Mali's Military Leaders Arrest Their Own Soldiers

Mali's military rulers arrested their own soldiers for plotting to overthrow the government. Islamist fighters are blocking roads into the capital, Bamako, and other cities like Ségou. Colonel Assimi Goïta, who took power by force in 2021, has banned all political parties and says he will stay in charge until at least 2030.
