MP Stanford refused to back PM Luxon, then changed her mind two days later

National MP Erica Stanford was named by party sources as connected to Chris Penk's failed bid to replace leader Christopher Luxon. Asked if she still backed Luxon, she said nothing. Two days later she issued a statement giving him her full support. Stanford kept her role; Penk was dropped from Cabinet.
