NASA Sends Science Teams to Three Countries to Watch a Rare Eclipse

NASA-funded teams are setting up equipment across Greenland, Iceland, and Spain for the August 12, 2026 total solar eclipse — when the Moon completely blocks the Sun. By spreading out along the eclipse's path across the Arctic, North Atlantic, and Spain, they can study the Sun's faint outer atmosphere longer than one spot alone would allow.
