ICE Plans $20M Purchase of Gloves That Shock on Touch

A government notice published August 10 shows ICE plans to spend up to $20 million on a glove that delivers an electric shock up to 380 volts when it touches someone's skin. The glove, made by Compliant Technologies, is designed to be worn without being noticed. Deliveries are expected by March 2027. The ACLU called the purchase "a recipe for harm to the public." DHS offered no immediate comment.
