ICE to Spend $20M on Electric-Shock Gloves Delivering Up to 380V

A DHS procurement notice published August 10 outlines ICE plans to spend up to $20 million on the CTG 5 GLOVE, a concealed body-worn device by Compliant Technologies that delivers up to 380V on skin contact. Deliveries are slated by March 2027. The ACLU called the purchase "a recipe for harm to the public." DHS offered no immediate comment.
