Former Chinese Leader Zhu Rongji Dies at 97

Former Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji has died at 97. Born in Changsha in 1928, he led China's government from 1998 to 2003. During that time, he guided the country through a regional money crisis and its entry into the World Trade Organization, which sets global trade rules. Known for speaking plainly against corruption, Zhu reworked government-run businesses to bring more market competition to China.
