Europe's biggest travel company sees profits fall 43%

Tui, Europe's biggest travel company, saw profits fall 43% to €153m for April–June 2026, down from €267m a year earlier. The Iran war cost Tui €60m, including €40m to bring customers home and from two cruise ships stuck at the Strait of Hormuz for 12 weeks. Customer numbers dipped 3% to nearly 10 million. Summer bookings recovered, and Tui kept its profit forecast.
