Top police from across the UK ask PM to stop early release of PC Harper's killers

Senior police officers from all four parts of the UK — Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland — wrote jointly to the Prime Minister. They want him to stop the killers of PC Andrew Harper being let out of prison early. The letter said bereaved families should be listened to when rules on sentencing or release change. Justice Secretary Andy Burnham said he was "increasingly confident" the two men would not be released early.
