Police chiefs from all four UK nations urge PM to block early release of PC Harper's killers

Police chiefs from Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland jointly wrote to the Prime Minister urging him to prevent the early release of PC Andrew Harper's killers. The letter asked the government to pursue "every lawful option" and said victims and bereaved families should be "properly considered" when sentencing or release arrangements change. Justice Secretary Andy Burnham said he was "increasingly confident" the two men would be excluded.
