Passenger faked Delta's in-flight Wi-Fi on a commercial flight

A passenger created a fake Wi-Fi network copying Delta's real one on a Las Vegas-to-Atlanta flight on August 10, 2026. Pilots warned air traffic control twice; the crew turned off the genuine network for about 30 minutes. Delta confirmed no plane systems were affected and referred the incident to federal law enforcement. The FAA says it has not received a report.
