Flight Tracking Company Sues Betting Site Over Flight-Cancel Bets

FlightAware, a flight tracking service, sued Kalshi on August 11 in a New York federal court. FlightAware says Kalshi used its data and name without permission to let people bet on whether flights will be canceled. FlightAware also argues that such bets could give someone a financial reason to disrupt flights — a safety concern never before raised in this type of lawsuit. A jury trial is requested.
