NASA Orders $20–30 Billion Lunar South Pole Base with Blue Origin Landers
NASA is accelerating procurement of infrastructure for a sprawling moon base in the south polar region, with Blue Origin providing landers capable of delivering three metric tons with 100-meter precision. The base will house four astronauts for month-long stays, support oxygen extraction and power systems, and transition NASA from exploration to sustained lunar operations by the 2030s. Artemis III crewed missions begin in 2027.
