Safeguarding minister Natalie Fleet resigns after two months, citing trauma triggers

Natalie Fleet has resigned as safeguarding minister after just over two months, telling the BBC the role was making her ill. Fleet, who was groomed and raped as a teenager, said she "quickly found contents overwhelmingly triggering" and described stepping down as the "bravest thing I've ever done." She was appointed on 12 May, succeeding Jess Phillips.
