Zendaya Wears Looted 3,000-Year-Old Iranian Artefacts as Earrings at Nolan's Odyssey Photocall

Zendaya wore gold medallions dating to roughly 700 BC — fragments of the Ziwiye hoard, looted by shepherds in northwestern Iran in 1947 — as earrings at a London photocall for Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. The earrings belong to Mayfair gallery Barron London. Archaeologists and Courtauld professor Sussan Babaie called the use of looted antiquities as accessories a "hijacking" of Iran's cultural heritage. Neither Zendaya nor Nolan has responded.
