FCC Proposes First-Ever Retroactive Ban on Previously Authorized Drone Equipment

The FCC has proposed banning import and marketing of products from nine companies it suspects of selling rebranded DJI drones and cameras. The action would be the FCC's first use of retroactive ban authority it granted itself in October 2025, reaching back to previously authorized equipment — not just new models — on the Covered List. The FCC is accepting public comments for 30 days.
