
Murder of UK Politician Ann Widdecombe Charged Under Counterterrorism Framework
Joshua Kerry, 28, was charged on July 20 with murdering former MP Ann Widdecombe, 78, found dead at her Dartmoor home on July 9. While in custody, Kerry was additionally arrested on terror charges. Counterterrorism Policing head Laurence Taylor said political motivation remains an active avenue of investigation. Kerry is due at Westminster Magistrates' Court on July 21.
