Nolan Wells Case Heads to Grand Jury as Family's Attorney Contradicts Sheriff's Account
At a July 20 memorial for 18-year-old Nolan Wells, who died after a July 4 boat trip to Horn Island, Mississippi, attorney Ben Crump said a witness contradicts the sheriff's claim that Wells voluntarily stayed behind. Crump alleged messages were deleted from Wells's phone, found with his friends. The prosecutor agreed to present the completed investigation to a grand jury.
