
At Least 25 Killed as Monsoon Floods and Landslides Strike Northern and Northeastern India
At least 25 people died in monsoon-driven floods and landslides across northern and northeastern India on July 20, 2026. Fifteen deaths were reported in Kashmir's Poonch, Rajouri, and Doda districts; nine in Nagaland's Mon district. Over 57,000 people were affected across seven Assam districts. India's weather office warned active monsoon conditions could persist for up to a week.
