Thames Water Creditors Retain Pallas Partners as Legal Safeguard Against Potential Nationalisation

A consortium of 100 institutional investors holding £17bn of Thames Water's debt — including Apollo, Elliott, and Farallon — has retained litigation firm Pallas Partners alongside Akin Gump to prepare for a potential legal fight if the government moves to nationalise the utility. The precautionary move targets the prospect of nationalisation under Andy Burnham, who has advocated "greater public control" of the company serving 16 million customers.
