China and North Korea to Open New Yalu River Bridge Oct. 15

China and North Korea will officially open the New Yalu River Bridge to traffic on Oct. 15, China's Xinhua news agency reported Oct. 14.

Beijing completed its side in 2014, but no traffic had crossed as of March 2026. The planned opening follows Xi Jinping's June visit to Pyongyang, his first since 2019.
