Hejduk releases blurry, low-resolution rugs and benches
French-born designer Jonas Hejduk has released rugs and benches with pixellated, low-resolution finishes, he told Dezeen.
He started with high-definition designs, then deliberately compressed them. He said the move embraces ambiguity and reflects a childhood fixation with video game graphics.
Dezeen reported the rugs use digitally woven wool and cotton jacquard, a weave that builds pattern into cloth.
