The Guardian on 15 October 2026 reviewed Ben Eastham's The Floating World, his debut novel, meaning his first published novel, as 'a compelling debut about art's relation to money and power'. The book is narrated by an unnamed art critic turned schoolteacher. Eastham co-founded White Review, a magazine of visual arts and literature.
