China-North Korea Yalu Bridge to Open Oct. 15

China and North Korea will open the New Yalu River Bridge to traffic Oct. 15, China's Xinhua news agency reported Oct. 14. Beijing finished its side in 2014, but no traffic had crossed as of March 2026. The opening follows Xi Jinping's June visit to Pyongyang, his first since 2019.
