Ottawa plans MAID bill on mental illness and advance requests

Justice Minister Sean Fraser says the Liberal government intends to introduce a bill later this year on medical assistance in dying. It would address eligibility where mental illness is the sole underlying condition and advance requests from people who may lose capacity to consent.
