Ottawa to table assisted-dying bill on mental illness, advance requests

Justice Minister Sean Fraser says the Liberal government will introduce a bill later this year on medical assistance in dying. It will deal with eligibility when mental illness is the only medical reason, and with advance requests — instructions made while a person can still consent to care.
