Ontario removes Godfrey from Order of Ontario advisory council

Ontario has removed former Postmedia chairman Paul Godfrey, 87, from the advisory council that recommends recipients for the Order of Ontario, the province's highest civilian honour. The province cited "false public claims" but gave no other detail. Godfrey was appointed Oct. 3, 2024, for a term ending Oct. 2, 2027.
