Ottawa plans assisted-death bill for two situations

Justice Minister Sean Fraser says the Liberal government will bring in a bill later this year on medical assistance in dying — doctor-assisted death. It covers two cases: when mental illness alone is the reason, and requests made in advance by people who may later be unable to give permission.
