School Leaders Pass No Confidence in Ofsted Chiefs Over New Inspections
England's Association of School and College Leaders, the largest union for secondary heads, passed a no-confidence motion in Ofsted's leadership. Its council doubts leaders can fix harm from the new inspection regime, the inspection system. It called the system 'an overbearing mess' and wants inspections paused. Ofsted's own survey found 88% of schools said inspections hurt staff wellbeing.
