Push to Subsidise GLP-1 Drugs for Hormonal Disorder PMOS

Australia's POSAA patient group wants weight-loss drugs known as GLP-1s covered by the PBS, the national subsidy scheme, for PMOS — formerly polycystic ovarian syndrome, a hormonal condition affecting one in eight women. The drugs lack TGA regulator approval for PMOS and are prescribed off-label, forcing patients to pay several hundred dollars monthly privately.
