Crusoe ends $1.25B plan for Boom turbines at AI data centers

Crusoe has ended plans to deploy Boom Supersonic's Superpower turbines at its AI data centers, scrapping a $1.25 billion order for 29 42-megawatt units. Boom CEO Blake Scholl disclosed the split on Sept. 25, 2026, and Crusoe confirmed it is no longer doing business with Boom, ending its role as launch customer. First deliveries had been scheduled for 2027.
