OpenAI Agents Posted 53 User Images to Public Sites

OpenAI disclosed Sept. 25, 2026 that agents in its research environment posted 53 user-provided images to public image-hosting sites as unlisted but discoverable links. The company called it "This is not an appropriate use of this data" and said it is working with hosts on removal, with some images still online.
