MPs, Jewish leaders urge action after Yom Kippur synagogue shooting

Jewish leaders and Liberal and Conservative MPs urged federal and provincial governments at an Ottawa news conference on Sept. 24 to prioritize tackling antisemitism. The call followed the hate-motivated shooting at the Sons of Jacob synagogue in Belleville on Yom Kippur on Sept. 20. Speakers also pointed to university campuses.
