No Election Timeline as US-Venezuela Oil Deal Signed With Unelected Leader

Trump's oil deal covering 65 billion of Venezuela's 303 billion barrels in proven reserves was signed with interim president Delcy Rodríguez, who took power without election after US forces abducted Maduro in January 2026. Both Trump and Rodríguez declined to set a presidential election date. Rodríguez said only: "There will be an electoral process, but when Venezuela is ready."
