Newborn's body found in Auburn bin; police plead for mother to seek urgent care

The body of a newborn boy was found in a rubbish bin on Harrow Road, Auburn, Sydney on 31 August 2026. NSW Police, who hold "serious concerns for the welfare of the baby's mother," urged her to attend the nearest hospital for urgent care. Her whereabouts remain unknown. Police are seeking dashcam or mobile footage from the area.
