Nepal and China Warn of Second Flood Wave as Debris-Dammed River Rises on Tibet-Nepal Border

Flash floods along the Bhote Koshi River on August 26 killed at least 538 people and left over 1,500 missing. Nepal Police reported 588 dead. Both Nepal and China now warn a debris-blocked river has formed an artificial lake at risk of bursting, suspending rescues and forcing evacuations in Rasuwa.
